Professional Membership

Eligibility

Any person who resides within the High Plains Chapter geographical area (Texas counties of Lubbock, Potter and surrounding rural counties); who holds a mental health license; and whose interests and/or responsibilities are in the areas of play therapy may become a member of the Chapter.

Privileges

Any person who has met the qualifications for the regular/professional membership and has paid the prescribed annual dues shall be eligible to attend meetings of the Chapter, to vote in elections, and to hold office. In addition the member is eligible for reduced rates on any locally sponsored conferences.

Dues, benefits, and Member Registration

$31 per year. Professional member benefits include up to 2 free APT approved Continuing Education hours and the opportunity to acquire 6 additional hours at a discounted rate. Additional benefits include chapter meetings, social meet ups, networking and marketing opportunities. Meetings and events will alternate among Amarillo, Lubbock, and web based meetings.

Student Membership

Eligibility

Any currently enrolled student, graduate, or undergraduate, interested in play therapy shall be eligible for student membership. Only graduate level students may earn APT CE hours, per APT approved provider policies.

Privileges

Any person who has met the qualifications for the individual membership and has paid the prescribed annual dues shall be eligible to attend meetings of the Chapter.  Student membership may not vote nor hold office. In addition the member is eligible for reduced rates on any locally sponsored conferences.
